跟剑桥官方范文学习写流程图

你有过这样的经历吗？

流程图给的信息不全，所以有些步骤不知道怎么写，然后要么瞎编，要么用自己最习惯使用的表达去充数。

今天，小编介绍一个方法，让考鸭把这些有疑难的地方处理好。

The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.

（一）考鸭应该可以想到，井里的冷水要经过geothermal zone.你会用什么动词？

想到“经过”，马上会想到pass,于是写出下句：

(1) The cold water passes the geothermal zone.

然而，这样写是错误的，应该改成：

(2) The cold water passes through the geothermal zone.

问题来了：“我怎么知道这里要加一个through?”

是的，考鸭在多数情况下都想不到。

但是，如果你能意识到pass（不加through）在这里可能不对，你就还有机会把句子写对。

既然有zone,那么很容易想到和它搭配的动词enter（进入），得到：

(3) The cold water enters the geothermal zone.

冷水进入geothermal zone,是为了得到加热。所以你还可以引入“加热”，得到：

(4) The cold water enters the geothermal zone and is heated.

表达加热的意思，但是不用heat,你还能想到别的吗？

吸收地热能，写成：

(5) The cold water absorbs geothermal energy in the geothermal zone.

（二）经过geothermal zone的水，进入了production well.所以你会把句子写成下面的哪一种？

(1) Hot water is pumped up the production well.

(2) Hot water is pumped up into the production well.

你觉得是否需要介词into?

答案是：不要。

更多考鸭，会纠结另一点：前面已经用过pumped down了，这里为了避免重复，就不应该使用pumped up?

如果这样想，那应该怎么改？

(3) Hot water is sent to the production well.

该句是可以理解的英语，语法正确，不过是烂的表达，远不如pump好。而且，此处使用pumped up并不会显得重复。

为了“避免重复”，不惜使用烂的表达。然而，烂的表达导致的扣分高于重复导致的扣分。

当然，如果你想改，小编还是有办法的。

因为前文已经出现了pumped down,所以此处就算不写pump,水只要进入了production well,就可以脑补pump的概念。所以，可以改成“（得到的）热水被引向了production well”，你会怎么写？

给你一个提示：Puiji was directed into the medical bay.

根据标准的英语例句的写法，该句就可以写成：

(4) The resulted hot water is directed into the production well.

（三）generators产出的electricity被传输到了电塔。所以，很多考鸭会写到：

(1) Electricity is sent to electricity towers.

此处be sent to是看得懂且语法正确，但是很烂的表达。

传输electricity,有专门搭配的动词，比如transfer,得到：

(2) Electricity is transferred from generators to electricity towers.

试着用generators作主语：它们把电能提供给了电塔，得到：

(3) Generators supply the electricity for electricity towers.

transfer不会，supply/provide总会吧？问题不就解决了！

总结：你想表达的语义，可以用很多很多英语句式去写，没有必要死死地纠结某个英语单词。
